Parks Near Downtown Mt. Pleasant
Island Park - 331 N. Main Street
35-acre park located adjacent to downtown and completely surrounded by the Chippewa River
Mill Pond Park - 607 S. Adams Street
90-acre park located in the center of the community bordered by Broadway and High Streets. Mostly wooded, wetland area with Chippewa River running through entire park. Also accessible by parking area off Broadway & Leaton.
Pickens Field - 309 W. Pickard Street
15-acre sports park located on Pickard St. just west of Main St. This is the northern trailhead to the GKB Riverwalk Trail.
Yost Park - 206 S. Henry
4.5-acre universally accessible neighborhood park.
Special Events
Certain types of facility use including weddings, river access and fundraisers may require a special use permit issued by the City Park’s Department, City Clerk’s Office, or City Police Department. Please inquire well in advance of your request. Some additional fees may apply. Liability insurance required for all organized walks/runs.
